Paper Submission Guidelines
Instructions for Authors
Change of Deadlines for European Microwave Week Papers Submissions.
The Technical Programme Committee for EuMC, EuMIC and EuRAD, the three conferences in the 2021 European Microwave Week, is pleased to announce an extension to the deadline for the submission of papers, to 27th June 2021. This is in recognition of the date change of the event to 13 – 18 February 2022 plus the disruption that many researchers have experienced in their work as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The revised list of important dates for authors and presenters is:
- •27 June 2021 Deadline for submission of papers and of workshops, short courses, focussed and special sessions
- •21 September 2021 Notification of acceptance
- •2 October 2021 Deadline for submission of requests for grants and fellowships
- •22 October 2021 Deadline for submission of final papers
Authors are requested to submit a 4 page preliminary paper in the standard conference proceedings layout. The paper has to be uploaded in pdf format. The maximum file size is 3 MB. It is essential to emphasize the novel aspects of your paper. One author information form per paper must be completed when uploading the paper.
The week comprises three conferences. A paper can only be submitted to a single conference. Do not upload the same paper to more than one conference! The deadline for submission of preliminary papers is 27th June 2021. Late submissions cannot be accepted.
Each preliminary paper will be reviewed by the Technical Programme Committee (TPC) of the conference to which the paper has been submitted by the author(s). Exceptionally, the General TPC Chairman reserves the right to redirect a paper, which does not fit with the conference selected by its authors, towards the most appropriate conference. For topics common to two conferences, as indicated in the respective topics lists, the decision about acceptance of the paper will be taken jointly by both Technical Programme Committees. Even in this case, each paper must be submitted to only one conference, selected by the author(s)!
Contrary to earlier statements, authors will be notified on the status of their submission by 21 September 2021. The final digest paper will be required by 22 October 2021. Authors of accepted papers will find instructions for publication and presentation on the EuMW 2021 website. Authors are responsible for obtaining publication approval by their employer or sponsor.
Papers must be written in English and formatted in the standard conference proceedings layout on A4 paper.
Authors of accepted papers will be offered the choice to present papers remotely, if the pandemic situation does not improve by the time of the conference. We would like to remind potential authors that accepted papers will be published and made available on the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. In addition, extended versions of selected papers will be published in an Open Access issue of the International Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technologies, for which the European Microwave Association will cover all costs associated with the paper processing.
In assessing papers, the reviewers will be applying the high standards of rigour, relevance and originality that have always characterised the European Microwave Week conferences, whilst also recognising that researchers have been working in unusual and challenging circumstances since the start of the pandemic.
Conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases
The European Microwave Association (EuMA) is an international non-profit association with a scientific, educational and technical purpose. The aim of the Association is to develop in an interdisciplinary way, education, training and research activities. [more]
